In line with Mission’s mandate to promote commercial and trade engagements between Ghana and Angola, the Head of Mission, Her Excellency Mavis Esi Kusorgbor, embarked on an exploratory visit to the Province of Huila of the Republic of Angola, from 7th to 10th July, 2024. She was accompanied by then Minister-Counsellor for Political and Economic Affairs, Mr. Daniel Dapaa-Adjapon, and the Translator/Interpreter, Mr. Mario Jerome.
The purpose of the visit was to foster interactions between the Embassy and other Provinces, beyond the confines of the capital in line with existing and future efforts to promote commercial and trade engagements between Ghana and Angola. The Mission’s team interacted with the Provincial Administration of Huila and business entities to explore opportunities for cooperation to improve on commercial and trade engagements between the two countries.
In line with Mission’s focus areas for the visit, meetings were held with the Governor of the Province and Heads of Institutions, as well as with some members of the Business Community within the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to explore various sectors for collaboration between Angolan and Ghanaian businesses.
